what is it?

Sclerotherapy is a medical procedure used to treat spider veins. It involves injecting a solution directly into the affected veins, causing them to collapse and eventually fade away.

  • Reduction in the appearance of spider veins

  • Improved blood circulation in the affected area

what are the benefits?

During the procedure, a sclerosing solutio is injected directly into the varicose veins using a very fine needle. The solution irritates the lining of the blood vessels, causing them to swell, stick together, and eventually close off. After the injections are complete, the treated veins may be compressed using compression stockings which helps to keep the collapsed veins closed and promotes healing.

how is it performed?

It is likely that multiple sessions may be necessary to achieve the desired results, especially for larger treated areas. It's important to follow up  after each session, so your progress can be assessed and additional recommendations can be made to achieve optimal results.

Noticeable results from sclerotherapy can vary depending on several factors, including the size and number of veins treated, the type of sclerosing solution used, and individual healing abilities. Many patients may start to see improvements within a few weeks, although optimal results from sclerotherapy may take months to fully manifest, as the body naturally absorbs and eliminates the treated veins.
